Boxed Noughts & Crosses

A novelty for kids to make themselves or as a present for a friend.
You will need:
Medium sized gift box with lid
Light weight white card
4x1cm strips of coloured card in a length to match the box width
Glue
'X' and 'O' wooden craft shapes (4 of each)
Craft paint
What to do:
Paint sides of box and lid in the colour of your choice.
Paint X's one colour and O's a different colour.
Allow paint to dry.
Cut white card to the size of the lid and glue in place.
Divide box lid into thirds and glue strips of coloured card in place to make playing grid.
Store the playing pieces in the box until ready to play
For a change, use different cutouts like cars and boats in place of the traditional noughts and crosses or for a miniature set use novelty buttons with the shanks removed so they will sit flat on the board.
