Snappy Mouth Card small beesmall beesmall bee

A fun card that my little boy loves to make for his friends...many variations are possible...so no two cards ever look the same.

You will need:

2 pieces of light cardboard or heavy paper
glue
scissors
ruler
Felt tip pens
Sequins, wrapping paper offcuts, character stickers

What to do:

To make the snappy mouth:

Fold a piece of paper in half.

Rule then cut a line about 5 cm long inwards from the centre of the crease.

draw the line

Fold back each of the flaps to make 2 triangles then open out.

cut card

Open up the card and push a triangle through to the inside. Fold along existing creases.

Repeat with the other triangle.

Mouth

Close the card and push down on the folds so they are well creased.

Open the card to see your snappy mouth.

Putting the card together:Card
Fold another piece of paper in half and glue to the outside of your snappy mouth card. (Avoid putting glue near the mouth or it won't open).
Let the glue dry.
Draw a face around the mouth...whatever you want...a person, an animal, a monster, a fish. Use anything you want to decorate your card.
